I’m sure many of you have played the amazingly epic game, Six Ages, ride Like the Wind. I’ve won this game on easy and normal difficulty many times, and there are still things to find, events to experience, and hidden achievements to unlock. I thought I would start this thread for anyone interested in playing the game. What have your experiences been? Personally, exploration is the most challenging aspect of the game for me. The map is quite large, and unlike with KODP, VoiceOver users can’t simply send explorers just anywhere on the map. Some places I would like to visit:
The dwarf outpost. I’ve never, ever found this in dozens of playthroughs, even when my allies insisted it was there.
Zarlen’s vantage point. No Idea where this is. If anyone’s ever found it using VoiceOver, it would be greatly appreciated.
Traveling stone. Visiting this twice earns you an achievement. I’ve never found it. Not once.
Just as a side note, my favorite myth is Zarlen’s first wander, simply because I can identify with the young Zarlen.
I'm more of a King of Dragon Pass person, but Six Ages is also really great. It's been awhile, so I don't have much more to contribute. :)
I like KODP’s music more than I do that in Ride like the Wind, I’ll admit. But I like the interactive elements of exploration and combat in Six Ages more than the same in KODP. Also, the detailed descriptions of scenes in Six Ages that are available to VoiceOver. If these are to be found in KODP, i need to go back to my current playthrough and start looking for them.
P.S. Read some Gloranthan lore sometime. I promise you it’s very interesting.
