A woarning about the next upcoming version of bitlife
This coming week, bitlife is releasing a new version. This version will be upgrading their code to a new version, the same version of code that doglife uses, which is not accessible. This news admittedly freaked me out, quite a bit actually, since I play bitlife literally every single night. So I reached out to the bitlife devs on twitter, and they said that this forthcoming version of bitlife with the new 3.0 code will not have accessibility ready immediately upon launch, however, the bitlife devs are about 80 percent done writing a new accessibility layer. According to them, this new accessibility layer will make accessibility of bitlife "better than ever." Only time will tell. I'm just advising you guys not to update until they do release whatever version will contain the accessible layer of code. I'm glad they got back to me about this, as I would have been curious about the accessibility of the update, although I should know better, lol.
I wonder what this mean for DogLife? I wonder if they are writing an accessibility layer for that also?
I'm just speculating, but this giant code rewriting is all about unification, so I assume the code and the accessibility layer will also apply to doglife too. At least I hope so.
I really want them to fix the mini games that we up to this day still can't play like the home burglary and the prison escape and the military one.
Yeah that would be great as a lot of the challenges rely on the miny games within the game.
I am now sadly unable to play BitLife anymore
I can understand what you mean about starting a campaign to the BitLife devs to get a move on with accessibility. But what exactly do you mean by "I just got granted".
That really stinks. I made sure to turn my automatic upgrades off. I'm upgrading every other app, knock on wood, I haven't had to upgrade that one yet. I rely too heavily on bitlife, it's comic relief for real life drama.
I'd be willing to join the campaign, I'm not familiar with starting campaigns and stuff. Are you creating something like an online petition?
