Hi all;
I've decided I want to post more on YouTube, but in order to do this, I need to find a way to merge video clips. Any accessible apps that will let me do this? Any video editing apps in general would be appreciated.
I know the native photos app can trim videos as new clips, but that is all it can do, as far as I know of.Well, that's accessible that is.
Thanks all for your help! :-)

iMovie
Hello,
So, I will say, I can't figure out iMovie on the mac to save my life. I think it is technically accessible, but at least with Voiceover, it's just not intuitive. Or... I could just be an idiot and not know what I'm doing. 😂🤣 But, I can say, iMovie on the iPhone is not bad to use at all. I don't know how to do any real edits, just merging clips together. I've done it for some of my gym videos. 💪
Also, on Windows, the legacy Photos app works nicely. You can combine photos and videos, put in background music, etc. Really not bad at all.
Hth.

I would have to agree. iMovie is very accessible; I've used it from time-to-time on my iPhone.
For Windows, I currently use Windows Live Movie Maker 2012. It's very old but at least it's very accessible and I can create movies quite easily.
Live Moviemaker
Interesting. Never tried that. Can it even be downloaded anymore? If so, might have to give that a look. Do you know of any tutorials for it made for us blindies? What do export times look like on it?
Is there a guide for using iMovie on iPhone?
I also tried to learn iMovie on the Mac and even read the guide that was posted on AppleVis, but was totally lost! I'm glad to hear the iPhone app is easier to figure out. Does anyone have any tips on getting started, or is there a guide I should check out? thanks!
I don't know of any guides,…
I don't know of any guides, but what I did was just tap new project, then movie. I ignored all the others like movie from template. Once I chose movie, it then let me pick items from my photo library, where I selected the clips I wanted, and done. Then, in the settings for the movie, I select a theme, and then there is an option for using theme sound track or something like that. I forget exactly how it is worded. I do not know how to go about reordering clips, trimming clips, all that fun stuff. But all I ever do with it is piece together a few clips from the gym to post one video in a day instead of a few, so it really doesn't matter what order they are in. I've got a few people in there that I know, so I will have them get a bit of video action for me. Serves as a little bit of motivation for folks, because if I'm in here taring it up, anyone can do it, and also a good way to show, or show off, my progress. 🙌💪
Anyway, I'm sure there are people who know how to do much more with it than I do, but for what I need, it works perfectly well.
Thanks!
Thanks Justin! I appreciate the help! I’ll play around with it and see what I can figure out.
Re: Live Moviemaker
Unfortunately you can't get it from Microsoft anymore but if you do some searching around on Google you can still find an offline installer for Windows Essentials 2012 which includes Movie Maker.
I use reaper. Works great!
