All posting to ApppleVis forums is blocked when iOS 15 private relay is on

Thank you for the heads-up.

As you may know, there have been reports of iCloud Private Relay blocking parts or all of many high profile and legitimate websites, but I hadn't been aware of any issues for us.

My own testing indicates that simply enabling iCloud Private Relay will not automatically mean that you cannot post to AppleVis. For me, there was no issue, either when using the local or not so local IP option.

From what I have already read and how I understand this feature to work, it's likely to only effect you if the IP assigned to you has a bad spam reputation due to other users.

Regardless, it's not ideal for us, and is no doubt one of the reasons why Apple is currently still presenting this as a beta.

I use a 3rd-party service to help prevent spam and other malicious activity, so I will reach out to them. I would anticipate that they are already aware of this potential issue and working on a solution.
