Hi everyone,
I'm letting you know that we are releasing today version 2 of Prizmo Go, our quick text scanning app (I'm with the team). New features include a new OCR with more languages (now 23 vs. 10 previously), the ability to scan handwritten text with the CloudOCR (English only), and text translation into 59 languages. We are also introducing a new subscription model which comes in addition to the pre-existing purchase options, which gives unlimited access to cloud-based services (CloudOCR, translation). Built-in OCR, VoiceOver access & shooting guidance, and text-to-speech all remain available in the free version.

Yay!
Glad these features you mentioned are still free. I cannot subscribe to stuff because I am using gift cards so I am delighted to hear that. I am really happy that you have made a new version. Great work!
I don't know why did I pay for knfb reader
I don't know why did I pay 180 Turkish liras for knfb reader because this app is 1000 times better than it and it's free... Thank you so so so so much for adding Turkish!
Agree
My friend had KNFB reader and I tried it but I prefer this one. It is way better and doesn’t cost over 1000 swedish kronor wich is a lot of money. I cannot afford it anyway.
100? wow
In Turkey, $1 is 4 Turkish liras. What about your country?
KNFB reader
At the time of its release, the KNFB reader was the best in its class. It does also allow for scanning of multipage documents which a lot of the OCR apps don't do. It also does tell the orientation of a document to let you know how to position your phone to have everything in focus. Aside from that though, I don't find it as good either. It does okay under certain conditions, but you can forget reading any screen text or really anything that isn't a piece of regular paper. Added to that, the KNFB reader just kind of dumps it into a continuous stream of text. I use it sometimes, but if I didn't have it I wouldn't miss it. Interesting announcement here which I will have to check out.
Just thought I'd point out
Just thought I'd point out that you can subscribe to things, even if all you use are iTunes cards.
I've been doing it for years.
You just need to make sure you don't run out of credit.
Speaking of that, I wonder what would happen?
Not that I'm about to test it out, I happen to like my netflix and apple music too much to risk it
I'd imagine it would revert back to your credit card asuming you have one listed, and if you don't?
But I'm getting off topic.
I just looked at the press release and saw the previous plans.
They make it sound like you're better off just getting the subscription plan, since it appears to work out better in the long run.
