Any apps to help us not veer off a crosswalk?

I'm trying to help my totally blind partner with her street crossing techniques. She can do it well but has a tendency to veer just enough to leave the crosswalk. I swear I found an app that signified when you were currently safely on a crosswalk. I thought it was Oko, but that one only seems to help with crossing signals. Is this a poorly timed fever dream or does this feature exist somewhere? If not, it really should. Crosswalks are complicated for a lot of us.

Or there is this new app called Intersector that points you to upcoming intersections and the direction you are facing.

This is a free app that allows you to lock your direction of motion. When you veer off the app will let you know. Hope this helps.

Nothing beats good mobility skills. Maybe the app you want comes on all iPhones, though. "Compass".

I agree that good mobility skills are extremely important. However, I find that when I am in the middle of a street crossing and there is a lull in the traffic. It is easy to slightly veer off in One Direction. Blind Compass allows you to lock your direction after you line up for crossing, and will alert you even if you slightly veer off.

My apologies. I downloaded Blind Compass about 3 or 4 years ago and it still works fine on my iPhone 15 Pro running the latest IOS. However, I just searched for it in the app store and couldn't find it. Therefore, it may no longer be available. This would be a shame because I found it to be a simple compass that would enable me to keep walking in a particular direction in open spaces.

Apps can help but if your partner feels like they can't walk roughly straight across a street they need to improve their mobility skills for sure, it will help in various other aspects of walking by herself.
