Hello apple Vis,
I'm trying to think of a few different ways to catalog a few different collections.
Mainly stamps, coins, and music.
Ideally iTunes could be used to catalog music CD, but as for vinyl records and so on. I don't know.
I Just wondered. I've heard of some software out there to do the cataloging for you, but how accessible it is I have no idea.
More often than not I'm going off of memory on my collections. Whether that's my coins, or my stamps.
I"m just looking for another way to catalog my stamp, and or coin collections and wanted to get some ideas from you guys.
Thanks in advance.

IOS suggestions (databases)
I would suggest looking into the folloowing database apps:
List Master
MyStuff 2
I use them both off and on, and they are fairly accessible. You can create custom databases, include photos, etc.
Hope it helps.

Mystuff2 Pro
I have used Mystuff2 Pro for over 5 years to catalog my coin collection. From the beginning the application was very accessible, but I had a few suggestions for improvement for accessibility. The developer, Rick fixed all of it in the next update. The app is about $10, but it is well worth it. You can catalog anything else in it, and maintain any number of catalogs. Once I even used it as a project tracking system. I have to say setting it up took me about two days, but I needed quite a bit of complexity. Again, well worth all the time. After a few years, I switched back to Excel because I wanted to have more complex calculations and macros, but it is not the fault of Mystuff2 Pro. I would highly recommend it, and if you contact me privately, I will be happy to send you my coin catalog structure.
