Any way to turn off the back tap notification yet still have it perform the action?

As I say in the subject line.

I've got a back double tap set to move through ducking modes. voiceover already tells me the mode has switched, I don't need to know a double back tap has been activated, I'm just not sure how to turn the notification off... Can I?

I'm not sure if VoiceOver's Back Tap implementation respects this setting, but in Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Back Tap, there is a "Show banner" toggle that might stop this notification from appearing.
