Anyone know of a recording app that records in MP3 format?

I'm looking for a app that can record in the background. And that uses MP3 format. Would like it to be a free app but if it's a good quality app I'll pay.
Thanks.
On Recorder Dx2 when I'm trying to record something and leave the app and continue with another app somehow it says "recording interupted". Like I never recorded after a certain point so the whole recording I thought I was recording never got recorded. It's when i open the other app and the app makes noise is when it stops recording.
What am I doing wrong? Also I looked in the documents section and seen the music library. What will that do?
Recorder DX2 can only record some apps, not all, like games and stuff you cannot record. I would recommend trying Ferrite to see if that works.
I think that is either for importing your music to Rec DX2, or adding the music to your recordings.
Hockusay is a very simple recording app that lets you save your files to multiple formats, including MP3. The author of the program has also gone out of his way to make sure it works properly with voiceover, so you really can't go wrong. I don't know if it records in the background though, that's the only thing. GarageBand is free on iOS and allows you to record in the background. In GarageBand, to just record audio, you would tap on the audio recorder instrument when you create a new project. I hope this helps
