App switcher bug

iOS and iPadOS

So, I am wondering if any of you who have an iPhone 14 Pro have experienced this bug. I personally do not have this phone. But my girlfriend dies. And she is telling me about a bog and she is experiencing with the app switcher. And at first I did not understand how the bug worked. So she showed me her phone. And Essentially if she is on FaceTime, she can’t close any of her apps. I am wondering if this is a voiceover specific bog? Or if it could have something to do with the new dynamic island?
If any of you have experienced this, have any of you found a solution? I hope this will be fixed in iOS 16.4.

I do experience this bug as well and I also have a 14 pro. The workaround is to just touch anywhere on the screen with one finger while in the app switcher and then do your normal swiping gestures and it should work fine.

I have a 13 mini and also experience this bug.

The above workaround works very well. I haven't had any problems using it.

It appears that this is not hitting everyone or specific to certain iPhone models. Sadly I don't have any suggestions as to what it might be that is common to those who are experiencing this behavior 🤷‍♂️

I haven’t iPhone 14 Pro nor any option, how can be try this issue. However just such idea. I would try reset iOS this way:
1. Press and release the volume up button
2. Press and release the volume down button
3. Press and hold the power button until they show appear Apple logo. The system iOS will be reloaded.
This procedure can sometimes solve most issues.
