Astrum 3.0 bluetooth keyboard issue within Whatsapp

Within Whatsapp my Astrum 3.0 bluetooth keyboard does not type punctuation signs correctly when I use a key together with the Shift key. For example: When I type shift plus the full stop in order to create a greater sign, only the full stop appeared. When I type shift plus comma to create a less than sign, only the comma is displayed. I can go on and on here. Also I can not manage to change from the US keyboard to the Emoji one by pressing control plus space. Nothing happens. In all other apps's edit fields I experience no problems I mentioned above. Does anyone here experiences the same issue? I uses my Astrum 3.0 bluetooth keyboard now for 5 years. Is it getting on the outdated side perhaps?
