I've been using BBM for iOS since it was released in the app store, mainly because colleagues at work have Blackberries and I like to be able to communicate throughout the day. Although, I've noticed that after a while of not using the app, when I launch it, I need to sign back in, which I find really annoying, or even worse, the PIN number associated with my Blackberry ID keeps changing.
I am not sure if others use this app or not, but was wondering if anyone else might be experiencing the same issues as I am?
I don't understand why, after a little time of no use, why I must sign back in. I don't have any of these issues with Facebook or Twitter, it remembers my credentials and signs me in automatically when I open the app. I originally thought perhaps setting up the finger ID might help solve this issue but no such luck.
The second issue, I can understand the PIN number changing when you change phones and set up the app for the first time on the new device. It does ask if you would like to transfer your account to the new device. I can even somewhat understand the PIN changing when you uninstall and reinstall the app, although I believe it be better if you can keep your PIN number. But it seems to change on me at random. For a while, I'll have the same number but then when I come to share it to a colleague, I then find out that it has changed and am left scratching my head as to why. I've been using the same phone for over a year now, and have had my PIN number changed at least 3 to 4 times already.
I've tried to find some contact information for Blackberry and have recently found a Twitter account, which I will try and ask my questions. They do have phone numbers you can call but from it looks like, you pay for a service call.
Anyways, just curious to know if anyone else might be having the same issue, and perhaps even why it is happening. I know that this issue is also present on the Android side, although I have yet installed it on my Android phone. Oh and just in case anyone is wondering, I have both an iPhone 6 Plus and a Samsung Galaxy S6.
Thanks!
