Hi,
For several versions of iOS (since iOS 18, I think), I've been unable to open folders in App Library.
When I open a folder, the screen goes blank. I can only access the folder's contents by switching to another app from the app switcher and then returning to the home screen.
From what I've read on the forum, I'm not the only one with this problem, but it's not common either.
Any idea why this problem occurs and why not everyone has it?

Tried this myself
I am running iOS 18.4 on an iPhone SE 2022. Also known as the last iPhone ever to have a home button. I have not had any of the issues that others have reported on here, with regards to the app library. I am beginning to think it is a glitch with the newer display hardware. As for what is causing this, I cannot say.
I would ask what speech engine you are using, and have you tried using an alternative to see if you get better results?
Solved
I tried switching speech synthesizers, but that wasn't the problem. However, I thought the culprit might be some accessibility setting. I kept disabling options I had enabled until I discovered that the problem occurs when Reduce Transparency is enabled.
So, mystery solved. I guess it should be reported as a bug.
That ... is surprising.
I'm glad you figured it out though, this might be a boon for future users who have issues with the App Library. 🙂
