Checking app compatibility

iOS and iPadOS

Hello. I want to buy an app on the app store and I don't know if it will work in iOs 11. Advice is really appreciated. I know how to do this with installed apps and that is because of another post on here. I read this yesterday but I didn't see anything about knowing before actually having the app on my iPhone. Thanks for any help.

32 bit apps are not appearing in searches anymore

Hello,
Apple no longer shows incompatible apps in its search results. If you can search for the application in question, it is definitely 64 bit compatible.

apps & ios 11

Hello. I called apple accessibility and they said if you have an app that wasn't 64 bit before, you'll get an update when you install ios 11. So for example, if you have a game that's 32 bit then you upgrade to ios 11, you'll get an update to make it 64 bit. It may not happen right away, the guy I spoke to said it may not happen right away, but within the next few days after installing ios. 11, you'll get updates. I was freaking out before because some of my apps that I've got were updated sometime last year. Basically, updates will be integrated with ios. 11.

Thank you for sharing this with us!
Apple contacted developers and asked them to provide 64 bit versions of their applications, for iOS 11. Unfortunately, many of them did not respond nor submit a 64 bit application. Chances are that these applications will not receive an update now or in the future. This includes a lot of titles, such as the Somethin' Else games, Aurify, Soul Trapper, etc.
Applications may receive updates, but there are no guarantees, hence this forum topic.
