copying data from an iphone

iOS and iPadOS
Hello, I just had a harddrive crash, and I lost all my media. However, all my music, movies, and things like that were stored on my iPhone. Does someone know of a tool that can extract all that? ITunes is programmed not to allow you to do that

Just transfer the purchases to iTunes by going to file then select transfer purchases.

It's not just purchases.

It's not just purchases. It's everything. I have lost everything. I have music and movies from all kinds of places. I need something that can get them off the iPhone itself.

it's possible, not easy

hi. it is possible to get them off, at least the music. but it's not pritty. basicly, you need to open your system up to let it see hidden, and system files, so as you can see the file system on the iPhone. then, you need to find the music directory, with all your emp3's in it, and copy them. the trouble starts, when you find out, they are not labled in a human language. but a computer code. so they are names of mixed letters and numbers and such. you will either have to let itunes relable them by importing them, and letting it copy them to it's library, and organize them itself, or you will have to find some other way to rename the files. movies, i am not sure about. probably something similar, but i have never done movies before. it's not pritty, to do, simply cause apple don't want you to. their point is, if you had purchased all your tracks from them, as they want you to, you could just redownload them on to your itunes or devices. ripped stuff isn't really supported, so they don't let you do it. lol.

OK. Can you find me more detailed instructions to do it? Renaming isn't a big deal. i'll let ITunes do that.

hi, here are a few pages that give info on how to do this. the way of doing it with windows explorer is the way i am talking about. http://lifehacker.com/5837978/how-can-i-transfer-music-from-my-ipod-or-iphone-to-my-computer http://www.instructables.com/id/Get-Your-Music-Back!-Transfering-iPod--iTunes/ not sure if this program is accessible, as i have yet to try this one. but this is a possibility, http://www.transfer-iphone-recovery.com/transfer-music-from-iphone-to-computer.html hope some of these help you do what you need. but as i said, this will only get you your music back. all else will need a program to do.
