Assuming you're using Voiceover, navigate to a message you want to delete and flick down to, "More." Double tap and you are presented with an option at the bottom of the screen to delete. Select the messages you want to delete from the conversation, Voiceover will announce, "Selected," before reading the message. Once you've selected them all, navigate to and double tap the delete button.
