digit eyes & colored eye

I am a new user of the I phone 5 and have purchased both Digit eyes and Colored eye aps. However can't seem to get either of these to work for me. I have listened to the podcasts, but still something not doing quite right. Any suggestions? I also have the Looktell money reader which is working great for me. Thanks for any suggestions.

Digit-eyes can take a little practice to get good at. You can learn fairly quickly where to expect bar codes, and what distance and lighting works best for your device. The support staff are great and will work with you to make sure you are up and running. Don't hesitate to contact them. I find what works for me is: Make sure there is good lighting. Make sure you know where the camera is. Cans usually have the barcode near the label seam. Boxes usually have the barcode on the bottom. Start with the item a few inches from the camera. Slowly move it further away. With cans, you can slowly rotate them. With boxes, move along the bottom. Some people find it works better if you hold still between "clicks" from the app.
