Found a nice feature in messages.

In messages: if you get a message that's obviously junk or spam, when you double-tap on the number, a notification comes up that says that this is not in your contacts. Then it asks if you want to report it to Apple and your phone carrier as junk. Then, double-tap on report and delete. This is a really nice feature. Because when I checked my messages first thing this morning, there were three claiming to be from Amazon. My first clue that they were obvious junk was it was from a bunch of letters annd numbers.

Thanks. I was wondering how it worked.

With 15.6.1, all I had to do was delete the message without opening it and I was asked if I wanted to report it as junk. I got a junk message recently and deleted it without opening as usual, and no dialogue popped up. I'll try it this way next time.
