First before setting up the personal hot spot turn on the cell data option in settings then cellular then turn the option cellular data to on. Then choose the settings back button to go back in to the main settings screen. Next choose personal hot spot then turn the option that says personal hot spot off to on. After turning on this option you're iPhone should appear in the list of wifi networks on you're mac or pc or other devices you should be able to connect to it. First from the mac you will press vo m that is control option m twice to access the extras menu. Next you will press vo right arrow that is control option right arrow to get to the wifi menu. Next you will press vo space that is control option space to activate the wifi menu next you will use you're up and down arrow keys to select the wifi network that network will be you're hot spot next you will enter the wifi password then you're mac will be connected to the hot spot.

First, you will need to have a data plan that supports the Personal Hotspot feature.
Once you have hotspot on, if you just double-tap on the password area on that screen, you should be able to edit it.
