How to play music using garage band with voiceover on iOs?

hello,
One or two years ago on iPhone 4s I could play piano using garageBand with voiceover but now the settings are displayed and I cannot play anything by tapping the screen with iPhone se and iOs11.4.
So how can I play piano or any other instrument without turning off voiceover just like one or two years ago?

Have you tried checking direct touch? This setting allows you to let other swipes and taps usually recognized by voice over to produce other things in different applications.

It is a rotor setting when available, so when you open Garageband, make sure to turn on direct touch from the rotor.
