Let me tell this with an example: For example I have the game feer on, but I can't get back to the home screen or the app switcher, every gesture seems to me messed up in vertical mode or landscape mode or whatever it is called I'm not sure.
So how can I get back to teh home screen or to the app switcher when the screen is in vertical mode?
Thank you.

The Gestures Should Work The Same Way
Like I said in the subject, the gestures should work the same way. I perform them the same way I always do even when the app is in landscape. You still just swipe up until you hear that second blip sound and you will be taken home.
But I couldn't get them to work for some strange reason
I couldn't get them to work for some reason. Instead of swiping up, I needed to swipe left or right, and only swiping one would work and it would open the control centre or the notification centre, I couldn't get it to work the other way so I can get to the home screen.
And then I tried locking the screen, and it rendered the home screen gesture useless. The gesture would produce the clicks and haptics but it wouldn't open the passcode field to enter a passcode.
I restarted voiceover and the gesture worked, but when the phone switched to landscape mode it behaved wired again and I had to quit feer in order to restore the normal behaviour.
This is very distructive, I don't know if I'll open such an app again and try to mess with it.
RE: How to use the voiceover gestures for home button on an iPho
Hello Fatih. While reading through your post here, it occurs to me that, perhaps, you may have a bit of a misunderstanding of the concept of portrait versus landscape modes. Portrait mode on an iPhone means that the phone is held in the normal upright position, where you do most tasks. Landscape, however, means that your device is placed horizontally, meaning the long sides are at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock. When you have an app that requires landscape mode, the screen is automatically flipped that way, and more likely, you will also have to play with a shortened screen, from the top and bottom edges that is, and this is why you're not understanding how to Get yourself to the home screen, or activate app switcher. Therefore, if you are functioning in landscape mode, with some games, for example, your screen is going to be shorter from bottom to top, which means then, your gestures must be shortened as well. If you practice a little bit, you should have no problem getting yourself from the landscape mode, And get to the app switcher, or your home screen. I hope this clarifies some things for you. Let me know if I may be of further assistance to you.
Customise
Hi Maybe worth setting up your own gesture to get to home. I set a 4 finger swipe down to take me home. Avoids the default gestures.
Thanks for the detailed…
Thanks for the detailed explanation, I got these gestures to work finally. You just need to act a little bit quicker, that's all.
Apple accessibility team is genius, really. They have thought a way for voiceover users as well.
