Dear All,
After seeing the favourable reports about InDaisy in the latest applevis newsletter and on this site I downloaded the app last week. As a UK user I've discovered that it isn't that useful for me, even though I am an international member of BookShare. The major problem appears to be that InDaisy doesn't provide navigation for international users, so I find myself searching for books only to find that InDaisy keeps telling me I haven't got the rights to download the books I've searched for. The only thing I can do is to go to my lap top or Book Share app, do the search to find the books I can download, make notes on my mp3 player and then enter those details into the InDaisy app. This isn't great at all, too time consuming and prone to mistakes for me and others who are blind. The app is available internationally but should it, especially when it doesn't appear to work very well for those who live outside the USA? I must say I haven't used the file transfer part of the app yet but will I find more problems if I try to transfer Royal National Institute of the Blind, RNIB Daisy books to the app?
Also, I've just tried double tapping on the app this morning to find that it will not open. I've tried switching off my IPhone 4s and that doesn't work, so what do I do next? Should I delete the app and reload from ITunes?
This app is very expensive when its not that great for UK users, I could have spent my money more wiseley on other more useful accessible apps.
Kind regards,
Steve.
