Indication of LTE?

Hello to all. I have an iPhone 5 on sprint. I know we have no LTE in this area. I'm wondering how does Voice Over indicate LTE coverage? Does it say something like LTE 4 of 5 bars? I'm sure this will be of help for someone else considering an iPhone so they know how to tell if they have LTE coverage. Thank you very much.

What will happen is you will see LTE in the status bar.

OK. Thank you very much. That was what I iwas leaning toward. Also for some reason my iPhone on sprint says GPRS at times even though sprint does not use gsm technology. So I figure that is the iPhone's way of indicating 1x RTT coverage or something like that.
