Hi everyone!
I recently came across this interesting case. My friend's iPhone 6S, running iOS 11.3, and just purchased. However, he has some problems with using the phone.
1. The screen will sometimes become unresponsive to tapping or flicking, especially flicking left, and more often when the VO cursor has reached the first or last item;
2. Maybe because of this, the cursor will jump around to random places if not handled carefully enough;
And 3. When I checked his accessibility settings, I saw that the display accommodations is on, though he only uses speech.
So, is there anything wrong with his iPhone or display? How to solve this case?
Many thanks for your help!

Any other opinions?
Thanks for your reply! Yeah, that might be a possibility. But I wonder if there might be anything else that's causing this problem. Or is the problem on the display itself? Should he take it to the store to have a look at it?
Many thanks for the discussion!
Restore.
Hello,
This is what I would do.
Connect the phone to Windows or Mac. Perform a full back up. Then perform a factory restore. Set up the device as new and do not install any apps. Test the phone using the default apps. Swipe, flick and perform any gestures.
If the phone behaves normally for a couple of days, restore from back up or install each app. If the phone does not work normally, take it back to the store.
HTH and good luck.
Problem solved for now
Hi all! I've tried all the options with my friend, including turning off the unnecessary accessibility options, setting the shortcut to VO only, and rebooting the phone, now the screen response is restored and back to normal again. Thankfully, no trips to the retail store for him, at least for the time being. Thanks for all who have posted replies here and for your help. Have a great day!
