Moving sliders in small increments

Hello all, Is there a way to move sliders, say, a volume control in a video player, in small increments/decrements? I know you can touch and hold but I'd say this is more of a hit-or-miss technique. Thoughts?

No, but what i do is I do the pass through jester, then drag down to the bottom of the screen. This makes the movement of the slider smaller when you then with your finger still down go left to right. I hope someone else has some better news. Good luck.
