Podcast app in iOS 26 Frustrating issue

Hi brains trust,
I’m having issues with the Podcasts app now I have upgraded to iOS 26. Most things are the same but the things that aren’t a really driving me mad. I’m sort of getting the search field is always there, but it seems to always run away from me and never be where I expect it to be when I move my finger around the screen. I track it down eventually. However, just say I search for a podcast that someone has recommended or that I decide I want to listen to. It comes up in the search results. Great! Normally you would then double tap on the title and it would open up the podcast page in the app, and you would have all the information, the episodes, you could choose what to do with it, that sort of thing. Now, a double tap automatically ends up with you following the podcast. Even if you swipe down on the title till it says activate, it still doesn’t activate it the first time, it’s still follows at the first time and then activates it the second time. There are lots of podcasts that I might look at, or listen to, that I don’t want to follow. Is there a trick around this? let me know if you need more clarification because I’m rambling because I’m not very technological compared to most people on this site I must say.
