A question about iOs VoiceOver and trait.

Hello, I’m Hyongsop Kim in Korea and iPhone VoiceOver user.
I have a question about VoiceOver trait attribute.
I think that trait is a attribute that let screen reader recognize specific focus as a custom control in order to inform the meaning of the focused item to screen reader users.
So if developer applied button trait in one item, VoiceOver reads this item with button.
But my question is that if there is a button item and I want to remove the button and add heading trait, is it possible?
In other words, if I add one trait attribute, is prior control removed or added?
Please let me know about this issue.

Thank you very much.
