Hi everyone.
I'm using an iPhone 13 mini with iOS 18.4.1.
I have a question on audio messages with iMessage. When a friend sends me a voice message on iOS, I'm finding it hard to double tap and listen. Simply, double tapping on the message won't play, but would show a transcript screen. The only way for me to listen to the message is to turn VoiceOver off while holding my finger on the audio message in question, then release the finger and single tap. I have to be careful not tap holding the message.
Anyone else having the same problem? Or have you sought a solution to this?
Thanks,
David

I am not having that issue here
Hey! Iām not having that issue over here ā when I double tap the message, it plays just fine. Also, lifting the phone to my ear works too, it starts playing right away. Have you tried that? Maybe your phone just needs a restart (sorry if you already did that!). Hope it gets sorted soon!
Doesn't Work
Yes, I've restarted the phone after updating. What happens is when double tapping the message does nothing. When tapping the show more button, I get a transcript screen. The only way to listen is mentioned in the original post. I'm very frustrated with how this is functioning here.
