Prior to iOS 12 if I received a messatext mesage on the locked screen that came from a number of people I could ask SIRI to "reply to text" and then I would tell SIRI what to write and the response would go to the entire group of original recipients.
Now with iOS 12 when I say "reply to text", SIRI asks to whom my reply should be sent. With iOS 12 it seems that I have to enumerate all recipients individually. There doesn't seem to be a way of replying to the entire group. although this is maybe a nice feature when there are only a few people on the thread of text messages and perhaps you only want your reply to go to some of them, this is a real nuisance when there are many people on the thread of messages.
I've tried responding to SIRI with "reply all", but then she assumes that I want my reply to read "all".
So, is there any easy way of using SIRI to reply to the entire group without having to enumerate everyone?
Thanks.

name the group?
HI, I haven't tried this so can't say if it would work but you could try naming the group. there should be a button at the top of the message thread which indicates how many people are included in that message. click on that button and then on the next page hit the info button associated with the entire thread. hope this helps. sorry not near my phone now so can't confirm this.
I think it's just Siri
I have found that since upgrading to iOS12 Siri seems to have taken a step backward in intelligence. Things that I never had problems doing with Siri now require an exercise in patience interspersed with frequent swearing. Supposedly Siri was going to be smarter in this OS, but I have yet to be convinced.
Replying to Group Text Message
Someone indicated that I might reply to all members of a group message using SIRI in iOS 12 by saying "reply to group". This doesn't seem to work for me. SIRI is still asking "who do you want to reply to?" and then I have to enumerate everyone on the original thread.
Has anyone figured out how to use SIRI to reply reliably to a group text in iOS 12?
Thanks.

a workaround
Short of being able to do this with siri, you can swipe to the message in question on the lock screen, then swipe down to view and double tap. You will then be placed in the edit field to type a message. Use dictation and hit send when done. Then do a two-finger scrub to activate the back button and you're back at the lock screen.
