Samantha Voice Keeps Downloading onto my friend's iPad when she doesn't want it

Hi,
My friend has been having a problem with her iPad pro. They want to use the Alex voice on their iPad, but the Samantha voice is constantly downloading onto their device even though they don't want it. They have their language set correctly to English UK, yet the samantha voice is constantly downloading even though they always delete it.
Can something be done about this? Or, will the iPad simply have to be reset to factory defaults?

Hi I think Samantha is the default voice so saddly she can't be removed. This might of changed but as far as I know she is. Also Alex is a US voice unless you ment the language for the iPad itself. They can try adding Alex as a second language in Voiceover speech options then switching to it with the rotor.

Hello,

Change the voice used under settings>general>accessibility>speech to something else like Alex. iOS uses this setting for the default voice when reading content from speak screen or speak selection. If it's set to Samantha, the system will constantly download the file if it is deleted. If you set it to Alex, the voice should stop downloading.
