Hi there,
Can anyone recommend a speaking clock app that works on IOS 14? I had one, but it stopped working and I miss the audio reminders.
Thanks,
martin
I use chime. It still works here. it doesn't speak the time but my phone sounds like those old watches from the 80s, the beep beep kind I remember so well.
I use this one, and it speaks at the top of the hour. I think you can have it go every 30 minutes too. There is something odd about how it can't do the quarter hours if you have it run 24 hours due to an iOS limitation, but admittedly I don't remember what that is, as I only use it on the hour, and at that I only do it for the hours I'm awake and need to stay on track.
So I'm now using something called Alarmed. I had to manually add all of the alerts. I like to have chimes on the quarter of the hour, so it took a while. The cool thing with this app is I can choose different sounds for each alert. I turned off notifications on the lock screen for this app, just so it doesn't clutter everything. So now, I have various beeps going, including a cat's meow on the hour.
Again, a bit tedious, but it works for now.
I admit I didn't look up the last time it was updated, but at the moment Westminster Chimes still works for me. I guess that could be subject to change with iOS15 and I could be among those out here looking for an hourly chiming app, but for now I'm good.

Hmm, that's the one that stopped working, although I was using the speech option. I'll try retro beeps to see if htat makes any difference.

Hi,
Me too. I'm looking for a chiming app that works well, and has those cool beeps.
Hourly Chimes
That is my preferred app.
Westminster chime application
I thought that one had not been updated for the last few years. Maybe I am wrong.
RE: try chime
This app is still working nicely on my iPhone 6S, 10X, and SE 2021. I use the beeps setting or whatever it is called.
Fixed... sort of
