Alright, so I've been trying to find out how to proceed with this and can't seem to find any way of deleting purchased ringtones from my iPhone.
In the past, in iTunes, we had the ability of managing and syncing tones that we either imported into iTunes, either tones that we created or downloaded using a third-party ringtone app. Even tones that we would purchase in iTunes would show up in iTunes on our machines. We could decide which tones we wanted to sync to our phones and if there were tones we wanted to delete, we could easily open iTunes and either delete the tone from our library or even go directly into the Tones section directly on our phone and delete it from there.
Fast forward some time and Apple decided to remove the Tones section from our Library in iTunes. Although we can still copy custom tones from our machines directly in the Tones folder on our iPhones and delete them when we want to, I can't seem to find any way of deleting purchased tones from my iPhone.
I've opened the Tones section on my iPhone from within iTunes and the only tones I see are the custom tones I copied myself, but I can't seem to find the purchased ones.
I was planning on emailing Apple Accessibility and suggest that they may want to push to have Tones be manageable from iTunes like they used to be.
I know that there is probably no way of deleting them, but does anyone know of a way, preferrably without the help of a third-party application, of deleting purchased tones from an iPhone?
Thanks!
