I took the plunge and purchased the BlindSquare App. Are There Many BlindSquare Users and Fans Here? I'm Looking for Tips and how-to ideas. For example, I know I can create my own "places" that go into "my places". But these aren't really the same as waypoints in a route, are they? I see in an app called "my way" one can create their own waypoints in their own custom built route. These waypoints are directly related to a specific route. But in blindsquare while you can create a "place" it's not apparently related to any specific route, although it can be targeted as a tracking point.
On a related note, are people still using foursquare? I have it and enjoy it but I had heard two or three of its major features had been removed due to some sort of regulation infraction.
If you have used or own blindsquare please weigh in on it.

I love blind square. I use it
I love blind square. I use it in conjunction with waze. Just pick your point you want to go through your contacts or 4sq, then start with waze using the options. I did a 2 part podcast, or maybe it is a 3 part podcast Just search this link for blindsquare. Failing that separate the 2 words with a space.
Take care to all.

Best, Ilkka
Thank you both! ilkka, I have
Thank you both! ilkka, I have all those podcasts but I still have that question about setting waypoints for a specific route.
Really liking blind Square, very nice! I was impressed with The selection of voices too. And it has a great array of features!
In my series I actually go
In my series I actually go over the app in part 1, part 2 is an actual trip, and part 3 is me doing the trip back home and not saying how I used the app as the user is by then expected to know how to do everything by then. Plus, you get to see me doing it in real time at my pase with out explaining how to do stuff.
Take care.
Sorry, ke7zum, not sure what
Sorry, ke7zum, not sure what you mean when you say your "series". I've tried searching the forum a few times. Is it a guide or walk-through? Audio file? App review? I did listen to one audio file a few weeks ago where the guy tapped his way down to a local building maybe half a mile away. But if it was a video file I couldn't see it because I can't see.)
I know how to look up a place in the BlindSquare search menu and then track my way to it using Google Maps, etc. But what I want to do is make my own route that doesn't use a map and establish waypoints that I can use on the way back for the GPS app to head toward. Basically, for making the correct turns in this huge skyway that I use. rather like leaving a trail of breadcrumbs I imagine. And then I want to be able to save that route or anytime I want to go back to that place.
Ah, ke7zum, followed your
Ah, ke7zum, followed your link above and found your podcasts. Listing to number one now. After I hear them I can determine if blind square can do what I wish. By the way, you have a nice voice and you are 1900 feet higher than I am according to what your blind Square app reported :-)
Nice nice nice. Yeah Go
Nice nice nice. Yeah Go through it all especially when I go home. That was a misadventure and a half, but not because of blind square. Let's say a bus ran late, and I was almost late to work that day. You do hear me use it though without explaining what I'm doing as by then the user will be familiar with the app. The series was recorded over a 2 week period.
Good luck and be blessed.
I love love love blind square
I love love love blind square It helps me out a lot, I have not used it in conjunction with the Maps app Much so I can't comment on that. I don't really use foursquare anymore because it did change to the foursquare app in conjunction with swarm
Hope everyone's having a great day :)
