By Misty Dawn, 25 August, 2023 Forum iOS and iPadOS They say you can share photos with Be My AI, but I see no option wherever I look on the iOS share sheet. What am I doing wrong and how do I fix it? Official support has been of no help in this matter. Options Log in or register to post comments Comments Check the bottom tab bar Hi, Can you confirm you actually have access to the Be My AI beta? There should be a tab for it on the bottom of BME, if so. You may have to update the app if you haven't. Otherwise, check near the bottom of the share sheet, past the list of apps you would normally see. The option is kinda hidden down there. Tried looking there. And couldn’t find it. Have been successfully using the beta in-app for about a week now. I want to go the other way,… I want to go the other way, import family photographs for BME to do its magic. I couldn't find this either? Action enabled? Have you checked that the “Describe with Be My Eyes” action is enabled in the share sheet? If not, head to the very bottom of the share sheet and double tap on Edit Actions. On the resulting screen you can enable and disable actions to be shown on the share sheet. Don’t think there’s a way to… Don’t think there’s a way to import from the app (yet?). How? How do I check to see if the action is enabled? I did an edit actions thing and nothing was there either for something I could insert. Update your apps. Make sure that BeMyEyes is updated to the latest version. I don't know how to share stuff from the app but was able to do it from dystopia and its share sheet with no issues. I've removed the app as I no longer need it so can't help anymore than this post. Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!! Subject says it all! Updating worked! Phwew! 😌 That was positively driving me crazy! I got it working too. Was… I got it working too. Was just further down than I expected. It's a really cool thing. Going to get my family to have a shared photo stream. I can actually enjoy it now. Took me forever to find it… Took me forever to find it too. It's really hidden in the sharesheet. saving photo descriptions I just got access to the beta this morning and have been having it describe different photos in my library. It's really cool! I know Apple says you can use mark down to put in your own descriptions of photos in the photos app. Anyone know how to do that? I wonder if you could just copy the message that be my AI generates, and then paste and tweak it to have your own descriptions in the photos app. It would be cool to not have to have be my AI generate a new description if you've already done it and just want to scroll through your photos. Three Finger Quadruple Tap When VO speaks the text of the photo, do a three-finger quadruple tap. You will hear the text spoken again and at the end of that, VO will tell you copied to clipboard. From there, the possibilities are endless of what you can do with that text. Create an AppleTV slide show You could name the photos and create text on them and then create a iCloud photo album and link that to your AppleTV screen saver and know what is on screen. Last I checked you could get discriptions of the photos to read while on the screen saver.
