Snack App - private, VoiceOver-accessible reminders to move throughout the day

Hi everyone, I'm the developer of Snack App, and I'm posting to introduce it here, at the suggestion of the AppleVis team. I'd genuinely value feedback from blind, DeafBlind, and low-vision users, on both the app's features and its accessibility.

What it is. Snack App helps you build a movement habit by prompting you to do "exercise snacks" - short bouts of movement - throughout the day. The app reminds you to move on a schedule of your choosing; you log your snack (such as a walk, 10 squats, or a few flights of stairs) in seconds; and it tracks your progress toward goals you set. Consistent movement builds a streak, but the app is flexible - a rest day won't end your streak, and you can pause if you need a longer break.

Accessibility. VoiceOver support was built in from the start and audited screen by screen - logging, goals, streaks, history, settings, first-run setup, and help. Beyond every control being labeled:

  • State changes are announced as you go: goal progress, streak status, and input validation errors.
  • The app supports Dynamic Type.
  • Reminder notifications include one-tap actions (repeat your last snack, snooze, or take the day off) that work without opening the app.

Privacy. Snack App is private by design: no account, no ads, no tracking. Everything stays on your device, with optional automatic backup to your own iCloud or Google Drive.

No subscription. Snack App is free to try, and the trial is the full app - not a limited version - so you can evaluate everything. Keeping it after the trial is a single one-time $4.99 purchase, no subscription. I want Snack App to be a useful tool that you buy once and own.

To be transparent: I have done my best to test the app with VoiceOver, but, to my knowledge, no blind, DeafBlind, or low-vision users have tested it yet. My goal is for Snack App to work as well for you as it does for sighted users, so please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions or if you encounter any problems - confusing navigation, missing labels, any behavior that's unintuitive, etc.

If you try the app and find it useful and accessible, I'd be grateful if you would consider reviewing it and submitting it to the App Directory.

Thanks so much,
