Hi Applevis members.
I am here to show you how to clear a single digit on the calculator app on iPhone.
This tip applies to the iOS iPhone built-in calculator app only.
Begin by opening the Calculator app on your iPhone, enter several numbers, if you made a mistake, find where it says result by swiping left or right, or locate the result element, which is near the volume button on the top of the display. Once you have found the result element, double tap and swipe left or right, voiceover will announce delete, for example, if you want to type 873+1579, you accidentally typed in 874 instead of 873, normally there will not be a backspace option, but to actually clear a certain digit from the calculator, find where it says result by swiping left or right, or try to locate the result element near the top of the display near the volume button.
Once you have found the result option, double tap and swipe left or right, do not long press or hold during the double tap process, doing so will give you options for copy and paste.
So in order to clear the last digit of a certain math operation that you have entered incorrectly, double tap and swipe left or right on the result and voiceover will say delete, now check the result, and the previous number should be cleared, in the example of 874, When you double tap and swipe left or right, the number four will be gone.
I hope this tutorial is useful.
But The reason why I am posting here is because there were no articles anywhere on the Internet, including Applevis about how to clear a certain number from the Calculator app on iPhone what voiceover.
And also, sorry if the tutorial may not be relevant for the general users of AppleVis.
Please let me know if you don’t think this article could be relevant here.
If anyone is interested in this topic, I would appreciate if someone could make a AppleVis Podcast explaining how to use the function of clearing only one digit on the calculator on iPhone with voiceover
