While Voice Dream Reader had absolutely no issues downloading files from Dropbox when I upgraded to iOS 17.0, ever since I upgraded to 17.01, when you try downloading a file, it goes through the whole downloading process where you can see the percentage and everything and it looks like it worked just fine, but it hasn't. When you close out of the add screen and get back into your library, you're told that the file is unavailable. I even tried playing the file just in case this was some weird issue that would somehow be resolved by trying this, but that didn't fix things. I tried loading a file from iCloud Drive, and everything went smoothely. All my apps are up-to-date, and I have no issues playing these files from Dropbox directly--they just won't download with Voice Dream Reader. Using the BookShare service with Voice Dream Reader also works as expected. I've also restarted my phone to see if this would fix the issue, but alas, it didn't.
Has anyone else encountered this issue? When I spoke to Apple Support about this (I had originally called them about Mail going crazy and moving all the email in a certain folder to Gmail's All Mail folder) the rep told me that I should reach out to the app's developer, as they couldn't help with third-party apps. I really hope the solution isn't to delete and redownload the app, as I have many, many BookShare books downloaded that I would have to now redownload, and this would be a total pain in the butt!
Also, would anyone happen to know how we go about contacting the new developer of Voice Dream Reader these days?
