I can't get the FitBit app to monitor the steps that I'm taking on the treadmill without forcing a sync every time I want to know the total. I'm wearing the FitBit Zip and using the app with VoiceOver on my iPhone 5. I listened to David Woodbridge's podcast about the FitBit Flex, which I realize is a different model. But as he walked on the treadmill, he could count the steps just by flicking to the right and then back again. Perhaps, this isn't possible with the Zip using VoiceOver. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? I would certainly appreciate it.

Hello.
Hello.
I do use the fit bit one, but I'd suggest you check if the all day sync feature is turned on. You'll find it if you tap on your device in fitbit app.
This will show the new steps measured the minute they are registered.

Thanks for that. But my all day sync is definitely on. Any other ideas?
I think what you're asking...
I think you're wanting Fitbit to be reading out your steps as the step count changes, right? I often watch the step count when walking to/from work, but I have to navigate away from and back to the count to get the updated number of steps. I don't think there is a way to get VoiceOver to read the number as it changes. It only reads the field when it lands on it. It doesn't read the field as it updates.

I am flicking away and back; but it gives me the same count, unless I close the app and go back in or force a sync. Do you think there's something wrong with my device? It counts steps fine; I just can't get it to continuously count while on the treadmill.
