Hello everyone, I recorded my first video using the native iphone video application. However, when I tried to show the video to my friend she said that she can not see anything. I should add that I was trying to record myself in front of the camera. Any suggestions how do you deal with the issue? How do you make sure that the camera is pointing towards you and that you can be seen on the video? I am thinking is there any application that would tell me this, before I actually start recording the video, or how do you deal with this issue? Many thanks for your replys. Zdenek

Video tips tricks, and blunt honesty
Hi. Ok first thing's first: toughen your skin. You'll ahve people telling you your vids look like something off the bottom of your shoe, so you need to be able to want to get better. Judging by your post, you do so that's good. You have to remember what camera is selected, the front face time or the back usually used for pix camera. As you explore the vid app, you need to remember if it says chooser front or back facing. You flick up or down to switch between, and if I'm not mistaken, the back has the better viewing angle also taking HD videos at 1080P
As you record, you'll want to keep the phone in the idea of what you want to view. so are you sitting there talking? Hold the phone near your face, not to close, but you might hear it say one face centered. That lets you know your face is directly in the line of the camera. If you are waving it around, or perhaps trying to shoot yourself doing a stunt, the best adivce I can offer is go to www.nbp.org and get the book Get the picture, how to take accurate photos and videos with your iPhone's camera. in this, it's describes how you have filters, tripods, whyyou need it, how to eve take a panaramic vid. I also did an ice bucket challenege one with just me, and well it was god awful. again, be prepared to be told, bluntly you can't see insert language of your choice. The more you take, the more you ask, the better you'll get. If you keep at it, you'll have people like me who take pretty decent photos with the stock camera app, or selfie ex which is an accurate way by telling you up, left, right, and when it sees your face, say cheese! A bit on the silly side but i've done photos that way as well. Just practice, and hope your friends are also being honest with you. Besides that, you'll get to a point where you feel comfortable enough to say forget this, put it up and if anyone "Liked" comments etc, great, if not, hey you did it, be proud of it.

Also how do you adjust against your hand shaking while shooting the video? Many thanks in advance.
how do I know that I am looking at the camera
Hello everyone, someone suggested that if I am looking at the camera, it should say one face centered. However, voiceover does not tell me anything, how do I set it up, so would let me know whether I am facing the camera or not? Your help is greatly appreciated. Zdenek
