Lately when I get an incoming call, VO just reads the phone number. I'll answer and discover it's someone from my contacts. Is anyone else having this problem? Suggestion? Thanks.
First of all, the contact must be named with a first name and/or a last name.
Second of all, the contact should be in your Contacts list and not your Phone Numbers list, otherwise the only thing VO will read is the number.
Third of all, you need to have the person in your contacts. I have a friend named Quillan and I hadn't added him yet, so all that it displayed when he called me was his number. Now that I've added him, when he calls me, VO will say "Alert! Quillan."
Tunmi, Thanks for the suggestions. This happens with people already in my contacts. Example: my friend Sharlene called the other day. And instead of saying call from Sharlene..., it just said call from and said her phone number. No big deal. But just wondered why all of a sudden VO is behaving this way.

No issues here.
I don't have the issue at all, not yet. I'd report this to apple accessibility to the best of your ability on this.
what I do when this happens
I've also had this issue. When this happens I just turn my phone off and back on again and this fixes it. None the less this should be reported.
I don't
I don't have that issue as well.
