When I do the two finger double tap to dictate something into a text box, and tap again once finished, voice-over will tell me what text is now in the box. However, what voice-over says is offten inaccurate, for example, voice-over might tell me that a word has not been spelt right but when I go to check it, it’s fine.
This makes me think that voice-over is unable to keep up with dictation.
Any thoughts?

Voice-over and dictation
Frequently when dictating word that has an‘ S at the end, it replaces it with a space and The word is. Annoyingly when I dictate the word they It usually writes I.
A dictation improvement masquerading as a bug…
I think I know what you are referring to, but I think I figured out what’s actually going on. If you have VoiceOver read the text box immediately after you complete dictation, you will hear the usual amount of errors and mistakes in the dictation. However, if you wait a few seconds, you may notice that the text magically fixes itself sometimes. I think it’s actually doing this on the cloud side, perhaps using the same algorithms used for Siri voice input. My advice is not to manually correct your mistakes right away but give it a couple of seconds. I have found, for the most part, I have to do less manual correcting now than I did in earlier versions of iOS
