Voice Over unusably fast when switching to Airplay/Airport Express

Is anyone else having problems with Voice Over becoming unintelligibly fast when switching to Airplay, such as to an Airport Express to stream music. I am using a new ipad 6 ios11.2.2. Oddly my wifes ipad Air2 on same ios version does not have this problem. Numerous phone calls with Apple but no fix so far.

I also noticed that the audio destination is missing from the rotor even though I have it selected in VoiceOver settings. This means I can't even change where voiceover is going to.
I'll try contacting Apple.
I'm using iPhone SE.

My rotor control for audio destination also now missing, used to be present in a previous version of ios 11. Main issue is super fast voice, like fast forward on a tape player.

I am resurrecting this as I still have the super speed VO Bug on my ipad. I have been through the issue several times with Apple, but no fix. Any suggestions?

Hi guys, just like to say that I'm not really impressed with Apple right now. Back in the day, Apple used to update voiceover issues. Now, the company is having some serious issues with accessibility support. I'm gonna aply for Apple soon and see if I can bring this up, because this just can't happen anymore. Voiceover issues need to be fixed, like the one you just mensioned. Someone even tryed contacting Apple for at least 4months, no responses, or canned responses. Comment over.
