Hello,
When I plug my iPhone 5 into my windows laptop, I have received a message about a voiceover kit update. Is this meant to be for iPods instead of iPhones?
If there is a true update for iPhones how do I bring this option up on command again rather than wait for the dialog to come up again?
I also have a Mac desktop so how do I bring this up using that too?
Thanks in advance.

VoiceOver Kit
VoiceOver Kit has nothing to do with VoiceOver for iOS. The fact that you got the message when you did is likely a coincidence.
VoiceOver Kit is software for the computer which iTunes uses to generate VoiceOver audio for loading onto iPods that don't run iOS, since those iPods do not have their own speech engines. For example, my iPod shuffle needs to have VoiceOver audio for each song, playlist, etc. that is loaded onto it. I can see the additional amount of space required by these audio snippets in iTunes, since they add to the Other category of storage being used up on the device.
Apple recently updated VoiceOver Kit for Windows. The Mac version hasn't been updated since Lion.
Update
So, do I need to update this software if it is only for the computer?
I used to use an iPod shuffle, but have not done so for more than a year.
I would, just because. But it
I would, just because. But it is not necessary.
