Apologies if this has already been reported here at AppleVis.
I just discovered this bug a little while ago, as I was trying to update my contact photo. I’m going to basically just copy and paste the email I sent to Apple accessibility, so before anybody asks, yes I did report this. 😅

To the Accessibility Team at Apple:
VoiceOver and Screen Recognition cannot properly read the contact photo update screen, when choosing photo as the option.
Expected behavior:
When updating your contact photo on iOS, and you choose a photo to represent yourself, after you have selected your photo, the next screen over should allow you to update the photo as needed and then save it as your preferred contact photo to be used in mail, messages, etc.
Actual behavior:
Once you have selected a new photo from your photo gallery, the next screen over will only give partial, mostly non-descriptive feedback using VoiceOver, and will give no feedback whatsoever with Screen Recognition enabled.
Work around:
While using VoiceOver, open the photos app, and then choose any photo from any album. On the next screen, double tap on select, and then double tap on the photo of your choice. Navigate over to the Share button and double tap. On the Sharesheet, choose “Assign to contact”. Select your own contact, on the next screen double tap on update. This method will allow you to change your preferred contact photo.
Regards,
Brian
