I am running IOS 14.8 on my iPhone SE with the apple A13 chip. After updating I turned off all the voiceover OCR and image description things in its OCR settings section. Then I turned them back on and it re-downloaded its training model data or whatever it uses for OCR. But when I launch an app, then turn on OCR, all I get is a blank screen and swiping does nothing, only thing I can see is the notification bar at the top of the screen. Turning voiceover off and on again with a tripple click of home button does nothing. Turning OCR off using the rotor make the app behave normally again. This happens in every app I have tried OCR with. Why is this and how can I fix this?

I’ve never had that working
Hey, I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max and the only thing screen recognition has ever done is frozen every app I’ve tried it on and refused to turn off again meaning I have to go into settings and disable it for that app then restart my phone to ever be able to use the app again. I stopped using my favourite app, waking up for a couple of months thinking it had become inaccessible, turned out screen recognition had got turned on so the app just crashed every time I launched it. When I finally worked out why it hadn’t been working, I wasn’t pleased at all. So much stuff is getting broken it seriously seems like time to start yelling and screaming for things to get better. We’ve been calm and patient for years thinking apple are doing us a favour but the fact of the matter is that we pay a huge amount of money, we’re a significant market so our devices should work as advertised and paid for. IMHO.
