What happened to the iOS sharing suggestions?

By Ricardo Brandão, 20 November, 2022

Hello friends, I hope you are all well.

If I'm not mistaken, since iOS 13 we have the possibility to have some suggestions for more frequent contacts on the sharing sheet. This way, when we share something and leave these suggestions activated, at the top of the screen some contacts appear with whom we talk more, which makes our lives easier.

However, I realized that, since iOS 15, these suggestions are very limited. Until iOS 14, I had more than five suggestions, but now, it only appears in one or two.

What can I do to reverse this behavior, considering that I have not disabled Siri suggestions for sharing?

I'm on iOS 16.1.

Thank you for everything, a big hug to everyone.

I get many suggestions

I guess if you forward or share stuff more, siri picks up on it and suggests more people. I get around 8 to 10 suggestions.

Hi. I believe the feature you are talking about is controlled by a button called show when sharing, which can be found in settings>siri and search.

Good luck,

Funny, I share with as many contacts as before in iOS 13, also in version 14. I don't know what happened

That's where the problem lies: I didn't disable this option, it's even active since I started using iOS, precisely because I liked these suggestions that I also found in the other system I used before...

My groups weren't showing up…

My groups weren't showing up any more as suggestions and it was frustrating me to no end. I found this suggestion online and it worked for me:

Go to settings / Siri and search / scroll down to find messages / turn on ‘learn from this app’ / switch to the messages app / find a group and send a message
