hi all, anyone use whatsapp messenger? if so, when updated to the latest version. anyone find some strange issue in the chat history? Voice over seems can not read the history.

I use What's App messenger, but I don't see any noticeable problem with VoiceOver's ability to announce chats. However, I have images in the history, so I don't know if it affects text within a message. It does appear to be the same in terms of the layout. Normally I click on the person's name if it were included in the chat history in order to listen to the chats sent between us. I'll update my opinions of the feature if I see that it has indeed negatively changed.

Hi, I haven't noticed any problems with what's app, I can read chat history just fine. The only thing is, sometimes, if a new message comes in, you have to tap a little abuv the where the Q, W, E, keys are, for it to say buddy message.

I almost always have difficulty in forwarding text messages in WhatsApp. I'm using an iPhone 5s. Surprisingly, I'm able to forward images and videos. I'm also able to forward text if I don't scroll down in a list of many messages. But, after tapping on the edit button, if I scroll down multiple messages and then try to select a message, I'm not able to select it and the forward button remains dimmed. Then I have to close whatsApp from the App switcher and restart it. Sometimes, even doing this procedure does not help. Has anyone faced this issue? Is there any possible solution for the same? Thank you.

Sure. This could be caused by VoiceOver in my opinion. I've been facing similar issues especially when VoiceOver focus jumps to a beginning of a conversation all the time. Another issue I've been facing is not related to VoiceOver, What'sApp turns back to default setting and requires me to register my phone number again, add a profile, etc. I got no hints.

Oh, Ok. It is especially frustrating when you need to forward a nice message and the forward button doesn't budge! Please let me know if you find any solution to this problem. Thank you.

Here is a solution. While in a conversation tap edit, swipe left or right and select the text you want to forward by double tapping with 1 finger, then tap the forward button. I applied the same steps few moments ago and it worked. All the best :)

Hello. Thank you for your reply. Yes, I'm able to do that sometimes. But many times, I have to close whatsApp and reopen it. This also doesn't let me forward sometimes. Swiping forward or sliding upwards to go to the message is something that's causing the problem . After tapping the edit button, If I have to forward messages that are already there on the screen, I'm able to forward. Hope I'm not confusing you! Thank you.

This use to happen because VoiceOver focus jumps to top most of the time. I'd suggest you to load earlier conversations and then try scrolling between messages in the edit area and tap the forward button it might work this way. Hope this helps.

Here is another solution for you to forward a message on WhatsApp. Select the text you want to forward while in a conversation then triple tap with 1 finger. You can then copy, forward or delete a message. Hope this helps.

I was able to select the text, tripple tap with one finger and then get the menu items to forward, delete, etc. Thank you verry much!
