When an app is released, how is it desiminated?

I saw that NFB 2.0 had been released n Friday. But, it hasn't reached me in Southern California in the app store as of Saturday Morning. Watch, it will appear the minute this is published!! Are apps released to different areaqs of the world and countries at different times? John

Yes, the apps need to propigate to different stores, which most likely doesn't happen at the same time for every country. also, some developers are forced to submit an entirely new version of an app, even though it's version 2.0 or whatever. Take Twitterific 5, for example, the devs had to submit that as an entirely new app, and not just an update due to twitters stupid API changes.

It was strange for me as well, because I wasn't able to update the app unless I searched for it. Try performing a search of NFB Newsline in the app store, and the update button may show up.
