I like using Ava. I use the premium version. I wish I could use it though, but right now, every time I do, my Braille Display drops connection every so often. And then, sometimes, it will just drop and pick back up, drop and pick back up, and it will do this several times, and then the Samantha boys will come back. Even if that’s not what I have her set to. It’s kind of annoying. So, I can’t use her right now. but I hope she will be better in iOS 17. Although, whether she is or not, they need to get the real bugs fixed before I will even attempt to upgrade. But, that’s another story for another day.
This is why I have not utilized the app. The captions seem to work pretty well, but that braille display issue is a showstopper. Attempts to reach the devs have not been successful. The most frustrating thing for me is that Live Captions don't work well either. I've yet to find an app that works well with braille and captioning on iOS or Android. Live Transcribe for Android is awesome in terms of accuracy, but braille is only usable to some extent.
Subject sums it up. I love her, but she seems to take up kinda a lot of space. Perhaps when I get a new phone I will use her more often. I have stuck with Fred on my iPhone 7 pretty much, and I'm currently using eSpeak Norbert on my Mac. He is very good.
I was stuck to Ava, till IOS16 completely spoiled it. I feel both the Enhanced and Premium versions too quirky. Many words are mispronounced, (like try reading the word read with premium version), too much inflection etc. Use it in any phone having IOS15 or prior, you will notice the difference.
NZ case
Time to use her every day to destroy my emotional collapse
She’s nice and quiet and sounds beautiful. In fact, if it was a bit possible, I wouldn’t mind marrying the actual text to speech voice. She sounds hot.
SO yeah, there is a captioning service called Ava, which isn't the same as the voice on iOS. So I think you were talking about the Ava VoiceOver voice, and I was referring to the captioning service. Good times! hahahaha. Sorry if my post didn't make much sense!
Personally I use alex. To me she sounds like something i can not say to protect younger ears. :) I do wish apple would put some thought into their speech synthesizers in general and stop outsourcing to other technology that can not be updated. They are quite fast becoming a shiny new device company, not the software company they once were. Yeah they released devices but focused on the whole package, not just the smoke screen they continuously put out.
And she Geoffs Hypaque in the day,.
I would use that on every single one of my Apple devices Eliza, thanks for making such a cute voice. Not gonna lie,. LOL
Due to certain hearing issues, I stick with Alex. I like the inflection as well as the way Alex reads long documents. I have Alex on my phone, my watch, and my Mac
Hey peeps. I love Alex and he is the most human sounding voice on apple, or anywhere. Other vocalizer voices are trash, all of them sound way robotic and they are getting worst.

Not at all
She is too joyful!
Alex FTW
Alex for iPhone. Alex for macOS. If I could, I'd use Alex with NVDA on Windows OS, but alas, I have to settle for Zoe. 😀
I've Only Used Her Briefly

Just checked and Ava premium…
Just checked and Ava premium is what I’m using.
Nope, not me.
She sounds like a heavy smoker. I'll stick with Alex for now.
She does not sound like a heavy smoker
She does not sound like she said
