How is Zoom (Screen Magnification) and Voiceover running together these days?

Hi,
I am generally an Apple person but have been on a Windows machine for the last 8ish years primarily. I have used a Mac previously. I switched to Windows to use Fusion as my vision has gotten worse. I really need a screen reader AND magnification to use a computer well. Seriously considering dumping Fusion. So tired of all the bugs and the lag on my system. How do Zoom and Voiceover run TOGETHER on the Mac these days? I am mostly thinking about Zoom following the Voiceover focus, no lag, minimal annoying keystroke conflicts, etc. I am very familiar with how they run together on iOS and iPadOS. Looking specifically for MacOS feedback.
